BIOGRAPHY
Erin E. Castellan is currently an Artist-in-Residence at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. In 2012 she completed a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Painting at Indiana University's Henry Radford Hope School of Fine Arts. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Textile Design from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2003, and runs an independent knitwear business, erineleanor, which specializes in ecofriendly, hand-loomed accessories. Following a 2004 Post-Graduate Apprenticeship at the Fabric Workshop and Museum, Erin resided in Philadelphia for 6 years. Her interdisciplinary work incorporating painting and fiber media has been exhibited at many venues, including the Center on Contemporary Art in Seattle and the State Museum of Pennsylvania. Recently, her work was included in the International Painting Annual, vol. 2, published by Manifest Gallery of Cincinatti, Ohio. |
